When Diablo was running amok during that time the church was fighting Tempest, there were 3 battle sages. 1 of them got stuck fighting (more like being toyed) by Ranga, the other 2 were attacking Diablo.
That Glenda woman shot Diablo, saw that it was pathetically ineffective, yeet herself out of dodge so fast the remaining sage didn't even realize he was abandoned.
I've marinated this series long enough to spoil and it's still at 25
