Thank you for the update!!! I'm looking forward to the next chapter
I do hope that over generalizing and assumptious band member doesn't go unaddressed :S
(Like that one web novel I read....... he was a factor in the breakup of 2 lovebirds)

Spring Lady (found in f o x a h o l i c 18)
- a band mamber was also such a shit on her & took no effort to actually get to know the FeMC (just like bowl cut here, except no romantic feelings) And when she did broke up w/ML, he STILL somewhat shit on her for making ML an emotional mess (like "it's ur fault he's so depressed. Why'd go into a relationship w/him only to dump him like that".... like wtf)
And they never frigging addressed it after the issue was resooolvedd
- oh! Be warned tho it's smut w/a bit of dub-con

It's surprisingly refreshing to have someone explicitly state that extreme obsession towards a goal tend to come with a heavy price so it's crucial you learn to deliberately slow down your pace and re-associate with the actual world around you.
Also, it's been a while since I've read a shounen with a few chapters dedicated to the MC learning to just relax and stop aiming for the goal (it's always push push push, even break time must be used for improvement rather than just.... a break)

What about disguising one of her maids?
Dress her in royal regalia, cover her head with a hood and her face with a veil, & surround her with a battalion that would normally escort the princess?

Yeah~ therein lies the problem.
But I don't think it's solely hypocrisy or martyr complex tho.
It's just her self-esteem as a surviving royal is so low and cemented in her brain, as well as her ungrounded belief in the survival of a sister, that she fails to see the monumentally bad consequence of losing her life in battle -> immediate defeat of their army who, really, was only able to hold itself together with her appearance -> more death of her citizens
And thus, fail to realize there's another option -> risk someone else's life & whose death will not significantly impact their campaign for survival
*sigh* I hope this isn't where a deus ex machina comes in & she becomes the bird again, 'coz that won't correct her crucial misconception about her role as a surviving royal (unless the author can come up a good situation where she still does even during/after the deus ex)
Ch. 22 last panel
- totally did not expect that development! I luv it when authors do this~ so deceptive~
