I hate that we have 4 stories competing for screentime at once. Its making everything seem stupid slow. Resolving one at a time would at least make it feel like there's progress.

Besides that, i think it's the power scaling and exposition of skills and techniques (this works against this, but it's counter by this because, etc. etc.) that's getting to me

yes i agree with you, in most manhwas the mc is almost always fighting for his goal with little time to rest so the fact this one takes the time to implement that shows how much of a good story is being written.

No literally because if she’s so sure she’ll come out safe why doesnt she just send a decoy in her place, this fight between the two of them is so frustrating to read when theres such an obvious solution ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

Cuz even if she's sure she won't be harmed, it's still a fact that there's a chance she would be and I just like to think that she wouldn't want anyone to get harmed on her behalf

Yeah i 100% agree with you, I definitely think its not being brought up cause then she’d have to deal with her hypocrisy of wanting to go herself cause she insists she won’t be harmed while not wanting to send a decoy cause something could happen to them. Martyr complex going crazy rn

Yeah~ therein lies the problem.
But I don't think it's solely hypocrisy or martyr complex tho.

It's just her self-esteem as a surviving royal is so low and cemented in her brain, as well as her ungrounded belief in the survival of a sister, that she fails to see the monumentally bad consequence of losing her life in battle -> immediate defeat of their army who, really, was only able to hold itself together with her appearance -> more death of her citizens

And thus, fail to realize there's another option -> risk someone else's life & whose death will not significantly impact their campaign for survival

*sigh* I hope this isn't where a deus ex machina comes in & she becomes the bird again, 'coz that won't correct her crucial misconception about her role as a surviving royal (unless the author can come up a good situation where she still does even during/after the deus ex)
