I don’t think all the things in the background and her personal revenge were related so we don’t really know how planned out it was imo. and out of all the people in the household the kindest one is the easiest to target so even if the main household didn’t support kyo, if the murder leaked out it would tarnish the family name to some degree which might be her goal since she doesn’t have the resources or connections to make a bigger hit. That being said she’s clearly being blinded by rage and that rarely makes things go well
