Hmm, maybe this isn't the last season or season 3 will be significantly longer than the last two and that's why there is so much filler material. And yes, episode 42 is a filler. We already know about Sangwoo's hallucinations and how they scare him and the lovey-dovey stuff was shown in great detail over the last few chapters. There was nothing new in chapter 42 an that makes it a filler.
Koogi probably agreed to make a certain amount of episodes, maybe more than planned because of how successful KS was. But because she already decided on how the story will end and she can't place the fillers anywhere else we now have many romantic chapters with little to no development.

Hmmm...I don't think this is filler at all, let alone romantic or lovey dovey. I know I'm not the only one who notices the uncomfortably strange undertone in this season so far. And it's actually all about character development and seeing both characters in a different setting under different circumstances. We're learning a great deal about Sangwoo that we didn't know in previous seasons. Seeing Bum apologizing repeatedly and Sangwoo imagining his mother, I feel on edge like something horrible is making it's way in soon.

But there is no development this chapter and most chapters of season 3 could've been half as long as they were and we wouldn't have missed anything in terms of development. I'm not saying that most chapters of season 3 were fillers but most chapters had filler material in it. Only chapter 42 was a complete filler because there was nothing new in it.

I bought chapter 40 because the few spoilers I saw looked interesting

Finally! Sangwoo childhood chapter! I've been waiting for this for so long. And we finally see his mum's face.
I don't have time to write in detail about this chapter but the "Sangwoo was raped by his mum" theory is most likely wrong. The chapter ended when Sangwoo was a teenager and his mum already lost her mind. I don't really see how the rape could still happen.
It does look like his mum killed his dad but Sangwoo mentioned that he hadn't killed a guy since the death of his dad. If his mum killed his dad then his dad can't be the guy he killed back then and there has to be someone else.

I don't think he killed his dad, he just moved and buried the body for his mum. I''m guessing the mum took her own life. In regards to the sexual abuse theory, Sangwoo as a child being exposed to seeing his mum having sexual activity with his dad (consensual or not) would still be classed as abuse. Who know at this stage really though, I'll buy the chapter later, I prefer the plot delving into Sangwoo's character as opposed to the focus being on Bum.

Here's another completely out there theory to add fuel to the fire: We are presuming that Bum is a replacement for Sangwoo's mum, but maybe Sangwoo's own mental illness causes him to see himself as his mum. Meaning he said "I killed my dad", not because he actually murdered the guy himself, but because his disorder causes him to view himself as his mum. This might also explain why he feels scared and traumatised at the prospect of taking a more "submissive" role during sex.

Not sure what age he would have been, but he would have still have been a teenager when the death happened? If he was "involved" in the murder by witnessing his mum kill his dad, maybe them both communicating to him whilst this happened, and then he moved and buried the body, from his traumatised perspective you can maybe see why he as a teenager thought that he had some part in killing him. At the end of the day, both men aren't reliable narrators, hence all the out there theories and presumptions.

I just wanted to write something like this. That's the only explanation I can think of that actually makes sense to me.
And now that I think about chapter 40 again

It's possible that at the end of the chapter his dad was already dead and they buried the body. So maybe he really was involved in the murder or killed him himself.

I think he's just replicating things he saw/heard when he was with his parents, rather than taking a specific role, but it's interesting to theorize. The proposal that he gets his identity mixed up with his mum's, isn't that he literally thinks he is her all the time, but maybe in times of extreme stress he dissociated, seeing as this has already been used in the plot regarding Bum, only we see now that Sangwoo's delusions concern his mum.

I have a feeling mom either killer or hurt Dad. In the end we see her dancing with a phantom Dad, so it’s possible that she just injured him and left him in the basement. We know that Sangwoo hears (and possibly sees) ghosts of his mother. I’m guessing Mom gave Sangwoo his mental issues.
There’s also the fact that we remember Sangwoo drove up to the mountains with his mom before (something he recreates with Bum) and leaves the apple up there after Bum ‘stepped on his dad’.

THIS.
This is how I want a character who did something wrong to behave. Finally an author who understands that suffering isn't everything.
In most stories, the "bad guy" simply suffers for a while because he can't have the person/the relationship he wants but they never truely regret what they did. They only pitty themsleves for selfish reasons and usually chase after their love-interest who then feels guilty and they end up in a relationship. Which is, again, completely selfish.
I'll never understand how this is supposed to redeem a character. I don't care about how much they suffer. I want them to regret what they did and learn from it because they hurt someone else, not because they have to endure the consequences of their actions.
Besides, I don't want Skyler to suffer too much anyway. They were both children and later teenagers when it happened. He treated Yeonduk like this because of a misunderstanding or because he was manipulated by his mum and they both acted like their mums (Skyler aggressive and angry, Yeonduk by playing nice, pleasing Skyler and trying to do what he was asked to do). Skyler is not a bad person, he's simply a normal human being.
I mean if we had seen their story from Skyler's perspective at first we would've thought of Yeonduk as snake. Someone who took advantage of a kid with psychological and family issues and constantly betrayed him/sold him out to his mum for money and presents.
Of course, Skyler has to feel guilty otherwise we would think of him as a horrible person but he doesn't have to go through the same pain as Yeonduk. This is not a revenge story. Besides, last season Yeonduk forgave him and moved on and Skyler already realized his mistakes which means that making Skyler suffer would be pointless (it wouldn't help the story at all).

Last week some people were wondering how much time had passed between season 2 and season 3. It's most likely the next day. There is this one panel in ch. 36 in which we see Sangwoo moving the table in the kitchen. At first I didn't get why this panel was even there but then I remembered that during his fight with Seungbae the table fell over. Unless he waited days to put the table back up, the first chapter of season 3 takes place one day after the last chapter of season 2.

Also Bum did say “I enjoyed last night for the first time”

Big surprise: things got worse.
Bum is still scared and delusional, Sangwoo is losing his mind (his hallucinations are getting stronger, he sees Bum instead of his mum and he's talking weird shit) and Seungbae is lying in his bed listening to a tape while being drunk and depressed.

Well, at first it looked like at least Bum was happy in his fantasy world. He told Sangwoo that he enjoyed the sex but once Sangwoo left the room he started to cry :/.
On top of that Bum didn't do anything without Sangwoo's permission. He didn't even enter the kitchen until Sangwoo indirectly told him to.

He dreams about playing soccer as a child. He sees his mum kneeling on the ground but ignores her. We then see him as an adult/teenager resting his head on her lap but something happens (maybe she said something? it's not shown what exactly it was) and he gets angry and walks away. However, he can't do it because there's a wall in front of him. He picks up a knife that is lying on the ground and walks back to his mum but then she suddenly turns into Bum. Bum gets closer to him, Sangwoo falls on his knees, Bum hugs him (with a lot of strength behind it) and asks "Is mom disgusting".
He wakes up, talks with Bum and seems to be a little bit angry at him but then he sees Bum's face from the dream again, apologizes and walks away. That's when Bum cried.

Spoiler
I think I'm kind of understand a little about Sangwoo's trauma now. Well this is a guess so I'm not sure, but I think Sangwoo's mother somehow saw her husband in him, so she kinda got sexual arousal when she was with Sangwoo as a teenager, which reaaaally could have shocked Sangwoo a lot. And when he said something about how honest children were and they couldn't lie, I think he somehow rejected his mother. Well, I cant figure out what comes next so we'll have to wait for the new chapter :'>

Well, Sangwoo normally only kills women (except for his dad and that one guy from the gay bar but that was only to test Bum) so it'd make sense that his mum did something to him. But I'm not sure either. Maybe these sexual undertones were only there because he imagined Bum as his mom and he just had sex with Bum.
We'll have to wait and see.

Maybe every woman can make it easier to use magic or some other ability that isn't as visible or easy to recognize as using magic. They just don't know about it because they treat woman like shit.
They found out about Sanghee's power because she hit her brother. Every other girl would've been killed for it. They're usually not even allowed to touch a man.
And we still haven't heard the report from the special knight who was sent to Chris' kingdom to investigate. It's possible that the author saves that for later because it includes a major reveal.

The first part of the post is about the release of season 3 and the price of the chapters but I also wrote something about the story. Just skip the first part to read that.
The next chapter is going to be released tomorrow, 3pm CET. It makes no sense to ask for the new chapter before that. KS updates simultaneously in Korean and English, means there are no raws until then either.
And I wanted to remind everybody who thinks about buying the chapters to read a proper translation that they're currently on sale (you can buy every chapter for 2 coins). Starting next week every chapter is going to cost 4 coins, including the chapters from season 1 and 2. If you want to buy it, buy it now. It won't get them any cheaper than that.
Now to the story itself.
I really hope we'll get a good backstory for Sangwoo. So far there hasn't been much about it his past and the few things we know were part of Sangwoo's memory, which can be slightly distorted.
To me the killer's motivation and his past (what made him a killer) are always the most important parts of a story about a serial killer. A lazy psychological portray (like "he's just evil") or no backstory at all can ruin an otherwise good thriller/horror for me.
She did a great job with Bum's mental development (it's plausible and it was thrilling) and she involved the police in a way that fit to the story without making it unrealistic (many authors don't get the police involved because it'd be too difficult so I'm glad that the police, or one policeman, plays an important role in KS). That's why I expect a lot from Sangwoo's "origin story". I hope I won't be disappointed.
I also hope that KS won't turn into some generic abusive-yaoi-relationship story. I read it because it's a good horror/thriller comic, not because I want to see them healing each other (which wouldn't make a lot of sense anyway) and being all lovey-dovey.
I know Koogi herself said something like she didn't want to romanticize their relationship or for their relationship to be seen as romantic but I'm still a little bit afraid that she might turn this into a romance simply because the more vocal part of the fandom wants it. Let's just hope that doesn't happen.
About a week ago she released another chapter. It seems to be about Namsoo and Minjae again.
Oh, and also, she posted this on twitter today:

I hope she writes more and uses this kind of censorship. It's hilarious :D .
