Well, having watched Kuroko no Basuke and and having reached the end of season two of Haikyuu, I actually prefer reading dj for these two series. I read the dj while watching the shows, to me, that makes both the series and the dj a lot better, because you know the background for the dj and as you said the BL vibes gets stronger, which to me makes the series more interesting ;p

I too watch/read the anime/manga first before reading djs.. But it's true that reading djs without watching/reading the original does have a different feel to it.. In a nice way.. It's kinda like no-strings-attached manga..
