Hmmm, there's actually a connection. Remember when he said he wants to be messed up when he's paired with her? And when he felt disappointed when she's boring at first? The latest chapter revealed how high his expectations are to her.
Reread the manhwa up to season 1 and rerembered why I loved it sm . Like modern Taehyuk actually LIKES hyoun and like actively pursues him while like past taehyuk is just plain getting assaulted every chapter. Like if the story started out without building their relationship I would be chill but it’s the fact that they showed us how the two of them came to be in their modern life while they were both like likeminded and liked each other kinda from the start . The past arc had sm potential at the very least they could’ve made hyoun like immediately turn into an adult after a few days but the fact that taehyuk raised him is driving me off. You could’ve even made him a really depressed man that bulked up after food and the plot would’ve still made sense without all this weird father son dynamic, idk I’m just so sad to see one of the better characterizations of bl turn so womp womp so I’m going to separate past Taehyuk and modern bc I love him to much for this
