Not to save humanity, but to make everyone suffer as he had. He would have killed Eric if Ghost hadn't freed him. He cooked and ate Brutal Bones (granted, that guy deserved it...but ewww). He chased down the midland vampires who were fleeing in order to do the same to them that he had done to the northern vamps. He finally does one good deed by saving Eric....you're right. He didn't deserve a hero's death. He should have lived to pay for his crimes.
Yes. He was misled by that jackass. He obviously regrets what he did. Killing him off like that is just too weak, the storyline could have been better with him living and fixing his mistakes.

I LOVED EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER! but the ending is sooooo lame.. like daaamn you better have a sequel for us or something!! You need to fix our hearts since you are the one who broke them!!!!
