i was wholeheartedly in love with shisio sensei up until the chapter where he seems to get back together with his ex. When suzume had her first heartbreak, i was breaking with her. And i gave up on the idea of them fully. So when he turned around and just started screwing her up, i was so pissed. I wanted him OUT OF THE PICTURE! His words and actions contradict themselves, and he says that they should give up while he himself is still chasing her around ???
Mamura had never intervened with suzume's feelings. He was never pushy, and he gave her agency over her own feelings. He gave her time and space and he was literally always present, but not overbearing. Shisio was literally going after a girl with a BOYFRIEND and also a STUDENT if that wasnt bad enough. Like he was DESPERATE about it. I understand passion, but passion on its own cant keep a relationship alive. I like the new girl, his neighbor. She definitely seems like someone eho can put him in his place. So.......yeah. Best ending ever!
can anyone help explain the timeline? Like is her death in her previous life or 2nd life? And also which parts of the story are past and present! Love this so much but i cant grasp when each scene took place lol
In the first timeline shuli focus all her time in maitining their household so essentially less time for her to go out and not meet many powerful figures, as a result on that her connections and her image was greatly damage, all for maintaining the House Neuwanstein. But in her Second lifetime (the current) she already grasp and experience being the duchess of Neuwanstein so she’s not having a hard time in doing that task, and that leads to her having a genuine and open relationship with he step children furthermore she also meet and befriended Nora and his family (which was a great influencers in both noble and royal factions) aside from that her image was not that damage compared to her previous one which make it hard for the priest to kill her. So i think Shuli was like a catalyst in the politics her death in the first timeline was purely set to overthrow the House Neuwanstein, the Preist understand that Shuli/House Neuwanstein was a threat for the church to completely monopolize all the noble faction including the royals.
This is my understanding about the story, Shuli is indeed one of the most powerful female noble in the empire, in a world where men rule the world and women are seen as powerless birthgiver. The church is not different in thinking that women should not be that powerful (except maybe the empress) and Shuli being a widow and head to such powerful family even if she's not the family's biological mother is like a taboo in the church.
Adding rumors about her being frivolous, etc made the church even despise her more. If she was still alive even if she would be less powerful she would still influence other women would also be inspired to be like her and that would went against the church's beliefs.
Plus, the most important part is that the church wanted to be more powerful than they are now, being greedy bastards, if the empire went into war with the other empire/ kingdom because of Shuli's death, they would be more powerful as well because in despair, people often seek for God/god and they would donate even more in church than the empire.
People, especially commoners will support the church more like they ever before and turn against the noble and the imperial family instead for "waging war because of a mere noble's death". he war might end but the nobles and the imperial family would be under the church's control instead

Came for the smut, stayed for the stupidity. Idk about yall but isnt she just confusing her lingering feelings of co-dependency with affection???? I honestly prefer her with the black-haired guy, at least they had a clear dynamic and realistic expectations from the start. And chaekyum gave me bad vibes from the moment i saw him, i feel like hes just here to act as her karma. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
first love never dies sucks
Yesss he gave me bad vibes from the beginning and I agree with the codependency. It feels like they are stuck in the past
