i don't really care about the romance :( i tried to find the chemistry but i don't really see it. perhaps it just didn't fit my preferences. all i really care about and want to see is how fl gets her revenge. i feel like the revenge would be more impactful if she does get better by herself. looking forward to what's comes next tho

yknow the author is deliberately making jaekyung this irredeemable just to get reactions from people even if it's negative. it worked with bj alex so they're doing it with this one as well. but this time it's worse lmao

It's a marketing tactic. If you keep people emotionally invested, even if that emotional is negative as you said, 'rage' as in rage baiting, it will keep them invested enough to keep buying chapters. She's gonna drag it out as long as she contractually can

"Lucky" us, we can rage here for free lol

i just finished reading upto the latest chapter. and i really think haesoo would be better not ending up with the young man. idk it feels like it would feel more satisfying/ vindictive if she survives all of the shits her horrible husband put her through, all on her own. she needs to get her shit together. ofc she can use some support system, but not with that young man. they are in completely different stages in life(bc of age). just my thoughts.

And before some dumbass replies to me saying “well she suffered through a lot that’s why she’s fragile” obviously that’s why she needs to get up and start getting better she’s not gonna live her whole life through misery? Unless people get off seeing women be put through misery till their charming prince on a horse comes without trying to get better by themselves and their own journey

I totally understand! But we all need to keep one thing in mind. This is a south Korean manhua and South Korea has these kinds of societal expectations. They are going through the 4b movement so dating is borderline none existent there at the moment which means stories like these will be more and more popular unfortunately.┗( T﹏T )┛

soooo they really made a lot of changes from the novel and it somehow made the past few chapters so underwhelming. there are a lot of emotional scenes that i think a lot would really appreciate and sympathise with edith more. i think the changes made me feel less vindicated. but oh well. it is what it is

they changed so much :/ im not sure if they did that in consideration to the length of the manhwa but everything went so fast that i felt like the manhwa readers were not able to actually see and feel what edith went thru. it was so much worse. just hoping they don't cut anything on the next chapter

Oh yeah she was SEVERELY beaten and straight up has open wounds. When Cliff rescues Reese or whatever her name is and the duchess, Edith is still tied up and she’s sick and in pain and she’s hidden away in a different room. They leave her behind after checking the place because they didn’t find the room and they don’t know she’s there and she wakes in that room all cold and severely injured before she manages to escape.
i believe this is the author's first full series manhwa. they made short ones before and all were very good, i enjoyed them. im not too worried how the story is progressing with all the depressing stuff coming every chapter. i just think they are taking their time with this one since again as i mentioned this is their first full series. im sure the author knows what they're doing. i can see the vision with this manhwa and i trust upi-nim's writing. but ofc readers can still express their opinions and criticism, it's all part of it :)
