since they made the later parts of the story different from the novel, might as well make a separate story of cliff being isekaid to the modern world just because another author magically conjured him from the novel they were writing ( lmao im talking crazy here)
i don't wanna be rude but i think the author should seek assistance in writing if they wish to continue making manhwas in the future. obviously they excel in art but their story writing is just not it. their first work was kinda okay and took off because of the art, but still had some off and distasteful parts. kinda was hoping they improved with this one but it got worse
idk but i think they're pushing the whole being a famous author who vanished plot so much that it's starting to lose the sauce. i'm not very interested in that and i think some of the readers are also losing interest in the story bc of it.
no amount of backstory can justify his wrongdoings lmao put everyone to therapy my goodness gracious
if we're going to look at this chapter with the lens of our current world, yes it is cruel and inhumane. but let's remember that this is an apocalyptic era and it's bound to have stricter rules(or laws as stated in the chapter) so i can see why they have the trial. do i think the punishment fits the crime? absolutely not. but in my opinion this is one of the flaws humans exhibit(specifically guwon) when put under pressure and power.
what i think the punishment should've been:
let the father join the hounds and let him help gathering supplies rather than just outright sentencing him to death
this really is a moral dilemma type shit
the last few chapters were unnecessary imo. doesn't show any progress whatsoever, just added more cringe-worthy scenes
i believe this is the author's first full series manhwa. they made short ones before and all were very good, i enjoyed them. im not too worried how the story is progressing with all the depressing stuff coming every chapter. i just think they are taking their time with this one since again as i mentioned this is their first full series. im sure the author knows what they're doing. i can see the vision with this manhwa and i trust upi-nim's writing. but ofc readers can still express their opinions and criticism, it's all part of it :)
i don't really care about the romance :( i tried to find the chemistry but i don't really see it. perhaps it just didn't fit my preferences. all i really care about and want to see is how fl gets her revenge. i feel like the revenge would be more impactful if she does get better by herself. looking forward to what's comes next tho
yknow the author is deliberately making jaekyung this irredeemable just to get reactions from people even if it's negative. it worked with bj alex so they're doing it with this one as well. but this time it's worse lmao
idk it just feels forced and i would've like it more if they just leave mc alone to let her tend to her shop
i skipped to the latest chapter just to see what's happening now and THIS STUPID MF JASON IS STILL HERE?? get rid of this annoying ass already gahd
idk i just feel like i'd rather have it end this way than having it dragged out and eventually lose the sauce.
i just finished reading upto the latest chapter. and i really think haesoo would be better not ending up with the young man. idk it feels like it would feel more satisfying/ vindictive if she survives all of the shits her horrible husband put her through, all on her own. she needs to get her shit together. ofc she can use some support system, but not with that young man. they are in completely different stages in life(bc of age). just my thoughts.
soooo they really made a lot of changes from the novel and it somehow made the past few chapters so underwhelming. there are a lot of emotional scenes that i think a lot would really appreciate and sympathise with edith more. i think the changes made me feel less vindicated. but oh well. it is what it is
they changed so much :/ im not sure if they did that in consideration to the length of the manhwa but everything went so fast that i felt like the manhwa readers were not able to actually see and feel what edith went thru. it was so much worse. just hoping they don't cut anything on the next chapter
