I read abt that too :( it’s disheartening that even other BL manhwas creators on X are justifying her reaction and that they shouldn’t feel the need to be “nice” to illegal readers No ones saying they have to be nice….but they don’t need to bully, spread violence, hate, and discrimination.

Most Korean BL manhwa authors share Euja’s mindset unfortunately On X, multiple authors have defended her saying that her actions is justified and focused more on illegal readers being theives who don’t deserve kindness or decency. This includes the BL authors for Between the Lines and Boundary of Delusion. The author of Red string quests also support her views (which sucks because that’s my current fave BL manhwa) honestly didn’t expect myself to feel this complicated abt reading korean yaoi, might switch to BL Manga instead (there are a lot of great options out there too)

It’s extremely sad to dehumanize people for an issue (piracy) which they did not create. Reading from authors who think like this feels very icky and I’d rather spend my time reading smthn else.

No literally. I don’t know why people on this site think they’re above the author because of their outbursts. Hell, I’d be pretty fucking mad too if I could’ve been making bank but people decided to illegally read my work. I’m no better than the people here but at least have some common sense.

And you’re right, their statement doesn’t even make sense regarding this situation. “This author writes about a bad topic yet it’s ‘ironic’ that it happened to them.” When, really, it didn’t happen to them. As much as they want to believe they’re the same thing, both topics are about as a different as day and night and people are only attacking her storyboard because they want to feel like they’re equally as important as the author or even above.

most authors have 2 jobs, the ones that dont get paid through their income from the publishing site and their publishers, sure it effects income, but euja not only said that she also sent her followers after a teenager
