Okaay so this central plain arc gonna be a very looooong arc, with many sub-arc in between. The final act gonna be demon lord going on battle (1 vs 2) with the orthodox leader and iron fortress leader. In the middle of the battle (idk, you can say demon lord already won by a big margin in power, but he failed to kill his opponent so yeah the battle is not over yet), anyway at that time his time as human ended, as you can see demon lord power already transcended human being and all this time he use all his willpower to stay as human, so at the end he ascended and disappear from earth. And yeah, after that MC go back home to take over the throne.
So is that the end? Does mc take revenge for the demon lord?
No, its still the half of the novel, after that mc gonna be the new demon lord and continuing his personal revenge on the orthodox leader also expanding the demon clan influence. But tbh i just skimmed everything after demon daddy last lesson for mc (yeah he make one last more appearance after ascending, that is on the mc subconscius mind)
