don’t get me wrong I get what you mean! but bl just indicates the relationship between two men in a story, a bl can be anything from mystery to sci-fi. there is really no requirement of how much contact the two ml (whether romantic or sexual) must have for a story to be ’real’ bl or ‘not much’ bl, so this is very much just a mystery bl. i hope i don’t sound rude sorry
