well i would say they’re more to childhood friends than a the mc being groomed.. also, in order for the latter to happened the mc need to be manipulated & alr established intimate connections towards ml but so far he’s platonic & doesn’t even have any sexual feelings towards ml

while mc might be stupid and couldn't "necessarily be groomed", and is dense enough to not notice nor develop any feelings for the ml, it doesn't necessarily mean that the ml wasn't heading for that road or wasn't trying it?

childhood friends is a bit of a blur imo. esp thinking about their age difference. not only was he planning everything when he was 13 and the mc 7, we can quickly realise that by the time they grow older, the mental growth difference between their ages is just too much. Also, the mc was probably 15 when he started being demoted and the ml 21, in which we see the ml already began using him for his fantasies around that time.


sidenote that i'm not so sure about, i feel like the mc is also subconsciously very intimate with the ml, being touchy feely with him- all the people around them notice it because their actions aren't necessarily normal "friendship" behaviour between two friends. He most likely sees it as something normal because the ml started being so touchy with him.
