Jiwon wasn’t nearly as abusive as jaekyung first of all at least jiwon prepped and made sure his partner wasn’t hurt where as marketing has forced himself onto kim dan multiple times and gone out of his way to hurt kim dan. both semes had the agreement of sex partners where jiwon was toxic but at this point jaekyung is just abusive. there was barely any romance between them the entire first season, in my opinion it was all one sided, everytime jaekyung got “jealous” wasn’t because he cared for kim dan, it was because thought of kim dan as his property.
Yes, there's 0 romance, I like it when the story is slow. The more the seme is toxic the more the story is interesting, and the more I can't wait to know him more and see him became carrying and kind to only one person.

so basically from the very beginning, the mom is the fl while the dad the ml(or used to be until he turned villainous) fl and ml married and had a child but fl the mom couldn’t stand the ml’s obsession with her and his controlling behavior so she ran away while pregnant with mc(duke’s daughter).
They stayed at the viscount’s manor who treated them like slaves, her mom then died and the dad found them only to go crazy cause fl died and then he tried finding various ways to revive her, now coming the blonde Empress.
The Empress has divine power which makes her the saintess and while duke was searching for ways to revive dead fl, someone told him that the Empress can revive her with divine Power which wasn’t true tho.
He went to the Empress and asked her if she could revive his wife but the Empress told him she can only heal injuries, not bring back the dead.
The Duke wasn’t satisfied with that and believed that the Empress was lying to him so he started sending her the heads of the ppl he killed until she changed her mind and brought his wife back, but she kept telling him that she couldn’t bring her back and he then ultimately went mad and murdered the Empress which is why the whole Duke family was sentenced to death in the mc’s 99th life.
