Nah man. It would not be densed if it weren't bl in the first place. He is not dense, he just felt affectionate and nothing's wrong with men being affectionate that's why he doesn't realize Bai seems to have crush on him.If we relate it to men in reality, it's either the man is dense,like u said, or is purely confident with his sexuality that he doesn't feel anything towards another man showing him affection.
