He went with the later.
And it sucked and was hard to read, but Tatsuyuki didn’t see himself as a victim of rape. He didn’t like it. He knew he was being used. But he was able to compartmentalize the situation, and move past it. As we see when he allows Rogi to become his subordinate and later even calls him to pick up his kid.
I hate it too. Rogi should’ve died. And I cannot enjoy his little spin off because I feel what he did was unforgivable and gross.
