Chainsaw Man is one the few mangas where I fucking dread reading a new chapter because I can't tell if it'll be extreme body horror, vomit/body fluids, cannibalism or spirling depression.
I like how there's no redeemable quality for Jonas, he was so stupidly narcissistic and that lead to his death. If he was smart like for instance Franz, it'll be a different story.
I really thought the duke killed Jonas for treason, but it was mostly because he insulted the Duchess, which is beautiful.
It never really occurred to me that Annette never really put together or questioned more of father and Heiner's relationship- then again when did she have the time from the monarchy falling, nobles being executed. I guess this is the point where she starts to learn about it and somehow understand him- hopefully not forgive him.
I mean... Can't really blame the duke for doing that. Jonas is a selfish bastard lol. (a literal bastard)
Ines is so cute- The way she smiled and basically ran to Carcel, tells me she's healing. Oscar on the other hand scares me. He's way to possessive for someone who never spared a glance at him and its either comes from:
a) he hates being second place in comparison to Carcel (I recall he has some inferiority complex since they were kids)
b) he regressed (he always ends up being the cause of her death)
c) both
I doubt he loves Ines because from the timeline... We all seen what happened when she was a crown princess. (Or in his twisted head, that's how he "loves" her.

Surprisingly this response seemed more like Rudiger than him crying- I just wanted to see the pretty man cry LOL. And oh my god, Luca crying like that, its so precious in a way. It's refreshing to see him act like a child because he was robbed of it from his previous life. He's finally with the people he loves the most and is finally at peace- well I hope.
Lyrica is too precious that physically hurts me and her relationship with her mom is so realistic it never fails to make me teary eyed. Yes, her mom was not a good person- she was an alcoholic and basically relied on Lyrica to make ends meet- but she changed (with regression ofc!) and it wasn't just for her, it was for Lyrica which is why I don't really get the whole hate for the mom. She may overreact but that's her baby who again, she saw die in front of her eyes.
(Also I forgot this is not just a feel good found family and occasionally turns into horror lol.)
I know- we all know how insane Edwin is, but blackmailing her into a marriage is fucking wild. It's obvious he's desperate because he till now, he's portrayed to be caculating but because of Minicat he's just rushing which of course Shushu is is taken aback and even rethinking her whole situation in the first place.

The reason why Marquis (the magician) has the antidote is because he's the one who keeps reversing time right? And previous timelines, Penelope did indeed poison Yvonne because Pen knew that Yvonne was possessed by the evil goddess but because of her behavior, no one believed her and she was executed.
Callisto for sure is a great ML, but man second male syndrome hurts lol.
It doesn't help the art is so breathtaking.
I'd feel bad for him if he didn't have a finace but he has a finace who clearly is in love with him yet he neglects and goes for Luna instead. It's hard to feel anything if we're just seeing how much he is clinging to the fact he's her childhood friend.
I knew Catherine took Annette in because of Reiner, but can't help being a bit disappointed, though I feel like it was a stepping stone for Annette as a person.
And mannnn, Reiner's twisted love for Annette looks like its killing him both mentally and physically. I hope Annette going to the front lines as a nurse would break his wrapped view of her.
In his time of need (when going through torture), Annette was salvation- basically a saint but she was just a noble. And unfortunately when she needed Reiner, he did the same- ignoring her spiraling mental health and as a person. If anything,I just want both of them to heal.
If anything, I'm just glad Reiji and Nagi didn't do the lovers' suicide because this whole time it kind of alluded to that- Jfc, I'm still mad that the predator of a teacher didn't even get punished. Also the mom, I wonder if she really meant those words for just said so it'll prompt Reiji to just leave town.
Pretty wild then Gen looks so much healthy coming out of juvie then before.
After all he's been through, Luca returning to a time he was the happiest and it being the time he was with Judith (despite him being ill) and around the time Rudiger finds him breaks my heart. He loves them so much.
(Can't wait to see Rudiger's reaction because yeah, you were an ass to Judith in the previous timeline but I get why lol.)
And I'm so glad Franz is dead because that man is a menace.
Judith really changed him huh, lol. But wow, at first I was kind of iffy about it being her third life and how she was actually the abusive aunt... But man, its so well written you can't exactly hate her. And my god Rudiger, the audacity of that man barging into her house and telling her off- I do get it but at the same time, fuck off lol.

I don't really point artwork unless the change is well... But why are the eyes from CH. 8 to CH.9 upwards so... different? The art, the story (even if its basic) went downhill so fast...
I'm cackling because what in the actual hell is going on???? So in a previous timeline, Olivia was killed by his mom and James had her stay at the mansion?? With potential killers? And if he did love her, why did he think forcing himself on her to the point she was terrified to do anything with Ian was acceptable or did the writer's forget? James' better be losing his brain cells each time he rewind time because this isn't making sense.
Instead of drama, its like a psychological thriller lol. Soowon/Soowoon scares me, its like he sees both ML and his "ex" as characters in his story- which yes in a way ML was introduced to his (Soowon's) life after reading his essay/story. And how the "ex" (sorry im so bad with names) basically scrambled to gather the papers despite being a prideful, narcissistic guy.
So the settings finally changed and Han Seori became a villian, it kind of sucks it went that route because I wanted to see MC fight the system not become the "heroine"... if that makes sense. Also I wanted to see Seori also break the system that pushed her to that role because again, she was about to reflect but was "corrected".
I like this so much but only complaint is why they described the medicine turning tan skin to "clear pale" skin and even "make a black horse white", if anything they could of done blemishes or something like that not skin color lol.
The comments about Elodie being weak are not it. She was a commonor adopted to literally to replace Ophelia with no to rely on, its so sad tbh. She's too sweet and naive the complete opposite of Ophelia, which is why everyone is taking advantage of her.
(Also I forgot how Dorothy was there when Ophelia and Emilla, they were literally sisters, and I'm so proud of her speaking up!)
