At least that is what I thought with how much the emperor favors him and I think they mentioned at the beginning that the reason they were bringing the offspring of the kings in was to find an heir since all his heirs were either sick, died, or was insane.

I really like how the pacing is! I've read a lot of manhuas and they are either too slow or too fast or have too much drama. I think this is just right.
