It would've been great if they took more time in showing elena's first life and how her interactions with her family has now changed because of that.
She used to resent her family because she has too many responsibilities since her mom is already dead. Also, I'm not sure that the ML is this creepy in the novel. Lol. He's just coming on as a creep but he is actually a very responsible crown prince.
