Its a great story! The manhua and novel is called Mo Dao Zu Shi (the manhua is here in mangago too! :D ) it has an anime series named Mo Dao Zu Shi too also a drama adaptation called ‘The Untamed’ its really good! I advise to read or watch Mo Dao Zu Shi this way:
1. The Untamed
2. Mo Dao Zu Shi (Anime)
3. Mo Dao Zu Shi (Manhua)
4. Mo Dao Zu Shi (Novel)

Actually I would recommend you watch the live action last if you want to check out the other adaptations, since the plot kinda diverges from the original novel and the other adaptations! You’d get pretty confused after finished The Untamed and then moving on to the other adaptations
Personally I would recommend the audio drama first as its the most faithful to the original but the manhua is good too
I actually recommended to watch the live action first because if you check the others first you won’t be able to properly enjoy it bc you’ll see how far and diverged it is from the novel and the other adaptations, but true, the audio drama was really nice -^-
