Despite understanding his point of view, and liking Hyesung, it seems an awful lot like the author is trying to make us hate him...
i don't think the author is trying to make you hate hyesung. if people really took the time to read and understand it, they would see that he has a lot of issues he needs to deal with. he had a crappy childhood, did what he did to take care of himself(even if his choices weren't always the smartest), he's young and didn't expect to get pregnant. here's a kid who doesn't know what it's like to have a loving parent. i think part of the reason he ran away is because he didn't want that child to end up like him. that's part of what makes me believe he cares for byul more than he lets on. second, is the fact that he went to see if the baby had really been giving up, cos in his heart, he didn't want that to be true. there is no manual in raising a child. there are baby books, but their not the definitive. parenting is all about learning as you go, and you parent in a way that's best for you. just because he almost dropped byul on accident, doesn't mean he effed up. did you know that irl babies actually have been accidentally dropped by some people? i think hyesung's parental instincts will kick in, but like i said, he has some issues to work out, and once he does that, i think he'll be good for and with the baby. i also think dojin will be good at helping him get to where he needs to be. i'm interested to see what will happen if he ever comes across his father again. he needs to have some kind of closure to that.
