Personally, I like to read them as the thought that even though somebody is raped, they still deserve to find happiness and a loving relationship. For sensei, it could be that rape is a fetish of theirs, as it is with many people, or that they want to show that rape doesn't mean you're completely broken.
Even with the stories where someone ends up with their rapist, I know there are relationships like that in the real world. Where people would definitely judge them for falling for their rapist, but the stories may help others find a way to understand how it happens.
Because rape is an easy-to-solve drama unlike the characters getting into a fight, I guess. That's what I think at least. ╮(o▽o)╭
Also, relationship fights, misunderstandings and such are getting really boring and annoying even.

Well, Viewfinder and Hidoku Shinaide don't have this repulsing type of rape involved tho? In both mangas the rape scenes turn into/are right from the start MUCH different from the rape included in this manga. And this type of rape right here is never gonna be 'popular' unless you have an audience with a sick abusive-incest-rape fetish. Which is worrisome enough since those audiences do exist. *stares at the Harada fans intensely*
Hey, "sick abusive-incest-rape fetish" kinda that hurts :'( We just like it a little dark (some of them really aren't that bad though) But really the rape here isn't repulsive enough to be Harada-esque. I think there's a fine line between the "tasteful" rape in Viewfinder and Hidoku Shinaide and what's shown here.

Yeah, it does still stay on the not-so-messed-up side. But I kinda hope it stays like that and won't go down the wrong road...which many manga do that I ended up reading laterly. Hence my caution with this one. (Also, 'Harada-esque' sounds amazing, thanks for putting that into my vocabulary. XD)
I haven't picked up Caste Haven for a while so I only know about the early chapters, but it does -not- involve abusive incest rape to my knowledge (again, I'm not sure if it turns that way later on since I haven't read far yet). I was talking about the abusive incest rape specifically, not rape plots in general. General rape plots (especially smut and/or dj manga) do often get popular, I never said otherwise.
