So i think the reason the father want Keira to remember the past and not himself even when he is the one who ask the magician to rewind the time is
Because then Keira can save her own ass. It means that he don't want to get his hand dirty by saving Keira his real daughter when this whole viasco happens.
You know how he literally can fap to this neutrality shit that his family is so proud of right? If he know what he did in the past is WRONG move and deserve a BITCH SLAP, in this timeline he has to at least help Keira a bit right?
But people opinion will falter, he knows how manipulative and likeable Cosshits is, that way if he want to help Keira he will make people opinion of him amd his family falter.
So he decided to let Keira save her own ass.
