Am I the only one who actually likes the french guy and his secretary?! I think they both have interesting characters. Blondie is an annoying simp who can't see and appreciate what's in front of him and instead he travels half the world to pursue some vague childish so-called love. And the secretary is a smart well-educated guy who is stupidly scared to confess his feelings towards the blonde guy in fear of loosing him. Their interaction with the first couple might give a new understanding of both couples relationship.
And also blondie's remark about "timing" was surprisingly wise?! It actually shook me
