I feel like there are at least a couple of obvious routes but here's one:
ML has liked MC from the start, but MC, being an Alpha, set boundaries and completely missed ML’s feelings for him. Yuuma, who’s MC’s twin, also liked ML but knew he didn’t stand a chance. Then, during one of Yuuma’s heat cycles, he lost control and ended up sleeping with ML. ML, affected by Yuuma’s pheromones, couldn’t hold back either—the fact that Yuuma looks exactly like MC didn't help
Feeling guilty about the situation and knowing that ML actually likes MC, Yuuma decides to leave. He figures an Alpha would be better suited to take care of his son anyway, so he leaves Sana.
I like to think Yuuma wasn’t a bad person to begin with ^^
The way MC is equally as strong (or close to) as ML makes it seem that they're really equal and on same standing. Refreshing since I keep reading action BLs where the mc is only known for their brains/wittiness/good nature. Here, he has both brains and power

However MC starts to being a heartless and ML's hiding it bc even MC didn't know (he was only having early signs) so the later end goes with that track. Basically first part is Comedic and later half is angst

mc's such a "people pleaser" (not the right word ik) that he forgets he also needs to think of himself and rest :(( he's so responsible for others but he keeps forgetting that he also needs to be responsible for himself also. Add to that, there these worthless shits that makes his life tougher. ML really is his "pause button" bc whenever they are together, MC feels how to be treated good. He's the receiver and not the sender for a change

Idk, this seems so casual? The fights, the way they flirt, the way they don't realize they're overstepping boundaries, simple interactions, stupid conversations, stupidly long pacing and more. It seems so natural that it made it seem that I'm just reading a real couple's journey to love.
