People are crazy. He's been given a role to play as the one screwing things up so that Taeman can stay professional in our eyes. So he screws up, and it's rationalised well. His motivations are fine, and he screws up. And people go completely nuts over this.? Like holy shit, what kind of story would it have been if he hadn't? These are the people nuance is completely lost on.
