I'd say the dragon and rhino also tend towards more normal brain circuits but they're also both legendary creatures that are so strong most stuff isn't even a mosquito level threat to either of them. So the story events will not affected them as much.
But yeah, proud wolf being a normal wolf in these world-ending situations, fully understand that fact, and still being somewhat helpful sometimes is pretty damn impressive on his part.
