absolutely. i completely agree with the sentiment of jake bottoming. most couples switch anyways, it's just realistic. they'd unlock so many levels of romance with them switching. i don't get the idea of being scared of jake taking it, i guess it could come from people having set standards for characters in their mlm media. but i realise jake and shin have surpassed that "2d bl manhwa characters" characterisation.

So true. Nothing exists in a vacuum. When we get uncomfortable with something, sometimes it's helpful to examine where that discomfort comes from. That's how humans have evolved and tried new things across generations. 15 years ago, BL MOSTLY had big eyed twinks x tops with large yaoi hands and I remember seeing people be so uncomfortable when both are built the same way. Fast forward to 2025, front page on mangago is filled with beefy guys on both top and bottom. Beefy big tiddied bottoms are the norm now lmao. Sometimes they are bigger than the tops. Would have never expected this in 2011 lol.

The more we normalize and introduce something, the more the discomfort goes away with every new generation. Course, you can still have preferences, but I remember the term 'discomfort' has been used in all sorts of wrong ways (this is a bit extreme but bear with me, but like people who say they are uncomfortable with women leading, or uncomfortable seeing colored people on the big screen and they can't explain why, etc.)
