No matter how sorry he thinks he feels, it'll never run deep enough for him to truly consider Chiwoo's feelings above his own. He couldn't even wait to be contacted. He couldn't even ask beforehand to visit. Like always, he made the decision himself.
I like how the author pointed out this lack of genuine consideration is the fatal flaw that damned any hope of a relationship between them. He forces himself on Chiwoo after thinking he granted him enough time.

I think he also lied about being engaged, because in the car after he leaves he is no longer wearing the ring. So that whole thing was a manipulation to see how Chiwoo would react and in his twisted mind make Chiwoo jealous. It either that or the artist messed up, but knowing his character is think it's the first option. And the only reason people thought he should be with Chiwoo is because 2 reasons, first good looking, never mind the red flag behavior and rape. Second he cried. So fucking what if he cried. After what he put Chiwoo through he can go cry for the rest of his life
