Author was constantly harassed by author of Shutline and had to change a lot of the art and panels, I'm guessing this was part of the changes so let's just leave that be. I personally like them way more now.

Probably bc part of the reason he wanted to escape after seeing the guns was because he thought Hee-seo was a murderer and that idea disgusted him. But when he saw the news he understood that it’s not the case and his later reaction at Hee-seo wanting to go kill his mother confirms that he just doesn’t want him to become a killer
