Is it possible to read this BL without having read most of pearl boy?? I couldn't bring myself to finish pearl boy bc of all the non-con that's in it but I'm intrigued to read this story bc the art is so beautiful and the bottom is gorgeous

Not the top raping his brother while completely sober just bc he was so euphoric with the realization that they're not blood-related and then ghosts him bc he feels bad?? Maybe shouldn't have done it in the first place but clearly the author just wanted to move the story along, everything else be damned

This BL is a literal 10/10 masterpiece, no notes. Never read a BL that made me cry as much as this one did

That side top literally became public enemy number 1 in this comment section and I'm so glad to see it bc he is literally so annoying. Hate guys that don't give a fuck until the other person loses interest and then suddenly they're super interested bc they just love the chase more than they like the person

I think this BL was really cute even if it was imperfect, with most of my problems stemming from the ending itself. I think my major gripe with the ending is that the story shouldn't have ended with this conflict. It was obvious from the start that Eunho was insecure about not being as rich/smart/accomplished as Dohyeon, and exploring that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just should have been explored in more depth and timed better. If that conflict had come up near the beginning of the sides and fleshed out better instead of all the smut chapters so it could have a more natural resolution, while ending the story with the beach chapter where Eunho finally confesses his love, the story would have likely had a more satisfying conclusion.

But as it is, it just feels like a rushed conflict and all the jealousy from both ends felt in poor taste bc it implies no growth or trust from either of them (and this is all without addressing Dohyeon's intense possessiveness that's literally toxic). Still a good story, but if these issues hadn't occurred, it probably would have been even better ╮(￣▽￣)╭

This was such a strange manga like the setup with the professor felt so out of place?? But I didn't really get the vibe that he was grooming the top (since he was already an adult when they met + the top didn't mention when the sleeping around happened and since they've been living together for years that could have happened long after he was no longer his student). More so, their dynamic felt like two lonely people cohabiting and having sex sometimes without many feelings involved besides platonic affection, hence why the professor didn't care that he found someone else but just asked him to visit from time to time. This kind of dynamic definitely needed to be explored more than it just being a minor subplot though imo

And this is why the BL shouldn't have ended where it did bc even though they made up on paper, they still haven't actually resolved any of their issues lolol. Kept on hoping that it would turn out that the bottom was dreaming or something instead of the reality of the top sneaking into his home while he was sleeping and fucking him in his sleep and keeps going even after the bottom says no repeatedly

This is one of those BLs where the second ML is way better than the main ML #teamwoori4thewin
