Thought this BL would be bad or mid bc of the 8.0 rating but then I read all 24 chapters in one go and I absolutely love it??? I love the unique art, the characters are so charming, and the dynamic was so cute!! I also loved Yeon-ah and how the ML included her in all his fantasies of his future domestic life with the MC, like he genuinely cared for her!! Also love that the ex wife was a chill lesbian. The love triangle with the childhood friend was also resolved pretty neatly as well so it was just a really solid story imo

Ehhh I don't think it's /that/ bad, like the problem isn't with the plot beats themselves imo, but the pacing of the story is very rushed so the lack of breathing room leaves an unsatisfying feeling?? I think if we had a few chapters between each major plot beat, it would have made a world’s difference with improving the quality of this story. For example, imagine if the ML confessed he stood in the way of MC healing bc he's got ptsd so then MC goes to the gate and everything is fine, they can spend some chapters discussing their relationship and creating healthier coping mechanisms for the ML, then after several gates, the MC gets hurt, and this proves the ML's fears right but the emotional reaction from the MC now feels properly earned rather than a shoe in.
I also think there’s something to be said that this is the author's first story + it's giving the vibe of being a short one (I doubt it'll be longer than 20 chapters). Will stick around for the art and smut

I think what's so refreshing about this BL is that the characters feel realistic and flawed in a grounded way, and even though this starts as a friends with benefits situation, the story becomes so much more than that as it develops. I love how Kyuho especially as a protagonist; it's so nice that he has a life and interests outside of the romance plot, his love for journalism is shown not told, and his integrity is something that shines through this story time and time again, but that same integrity becomes something he feels insecure about. He feels like a properly fleshed out person and character in a way that a lot of BL protagonists aren't. The couple's relationship is complex and nuanced in a way you don’t often see. I'm excited for season 4 and I hope ML can prove he's worth Kyuho's love and stand by him during his lowest point
