I was about to say the same! I was hoping it would be like a saga where it ties into her attempt on poisoning and that he uses his magic to save her or Blanche & there’s like some sort of fairy spell & suddenly the mirror is broken cause they thought it would destroy him but Blanche fights back &!saves him and idk… I was hoping for some sort of epic display of magic and stuff and yeah this was too fast and too ….. meh
unironically we haven’t even reached the climax of the story imo

I know! Like the fact the Green Mask was asked to sign a contract with the prince's name on it, but Shari said she held the contract when she was contemplating not going into the arena a 2nd time. Do you think the writer forgot that tidbit?
