hmm idk, i have a different take here. i don't think lee won likes caesar any less than caesar likes lee won. i can't read "if you die, i die" and draw that conclusion. i think they're both fucking crazy, in their own ways, and if lee won really wanted to go then he would go. they belong together, every chapter solidifies that for me.

there's a double meaning in his sentence. because yeah, if caesar dies, so does he quite literally. but also it's romantic because it can also be taken as "I can't live without you". I've never once doubted that the two of them are just as much in love with eachother, Lee won simply has way better social skills and experience with exercising empathy
