I've seriously never been this torn by a story or an ML before... Like, it's SO frustrating to see her reluctantly be mature and view what he's doing without extenuating circumstances, and yet I can't help but want to see them together in a really healthy way
Personally I do want to see them try again, because I think she’s right, in that if he hadn’t been hit by so much tragedy (in such short order), they probably could have been happy. Because I surmise that in their previous life, he did love her, but was so caught up in his own problems, that he couldn’t show it (well, he tried to with the dog and the piano, though it was him also trying to apologize in a very sloppy manner).
I look at this as a story of a chance at the road not taken.

I am loving the back and forth she's having on her opinion of the ML. Genuinely love that she's noticing his changes but is still hesitant bc trauma. A lot of stories brush over the trauma too fast and too easily, so I really appreciate this
