I agree with everyone that Maya won't want to do anything with Ruka, and that Ruka is going to try something with Maya.
But even if Maya turns him down, Ruka seems like the kind of passive-aggressive guy who'd keep him later and later and make offhand comments to Nemu about Maya that makes it seem like he's cheating. Once you make someone think that, it's impossible to get rid of that notion. Nemu's so insecure that he'd believe it.
Plus Maya tends to talk about how amazing Ruka is anyways, so Nemu might just be feeling really inferior and like he needs to be better for Maya while Maya is pretty oblivious.

Just realized that and... Zero things about this relationship are okay?
This is a tragedy, not a romance. Of course if your definition of romance is torturing someone into submission and warping their mind to view you as the end-all and be-all of their universe as romance? Then sure, I guess.

It's a tragedy thriller shounene ai. So yeah. Its supposed to be effed up.

Perhaps it's part of our most primitive instincts to like this sort of messed up shit. I cringe and die a little every time I read, maybe we're all a bit masochistic in that way. Idk.

I know it's just... In an AU world with a healthy relationship, yes... Or to acknowledge that this extremely messed up but fascinating to watch them spiral even further. I just don't really understand calling it romance in canon when this is written to emphasize the abject wrong-ness of the relationship as a whole I guess?

It's fiction so we can cross the line. Get it? Lol jk ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

Right?? I also dont understand

I'm sure no one actually thinks this is ok in real situations but because it is a manga we think there are bright sides and even if it ends badly its ok because its not real, this applies to all manga really. which is why I don't patronize about incest rape and all that horrible stuff BECAUSE ITS NOT REAL YA KNOW ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑(▰˘◡˘▰)
Is it only showing as a few panels for anyone else?
