I couldn't go half a chapter before gushing over how beautifully drawn this is. The line art, shading, body language and emotional articulation are absolute perfection. Even with my novice eyes I could tell the author is some of the rare few mangaka that can draw at this level of quality but it pains me that this is so.
Nowadays it's common to use modern conveniences to draw manga but this author has chosen to maintain a lot of the old ways - looks at all that hand drawn fore-/background detail! I'm not saying the former is necessarily bad, but often times it's jarring and rarely blends well with the author's art style. It makes me so happy to see the old ways of drawing manga are still alive and done so well. I already know I'm going to enjoy this manga so much! (▰˘◡˘▰)
