I do understand why MC's they do some stuff because that is how they were educated and we can see they love their children, but sometimes I get angry with them! Like, they don't know their children and still they care!
I suspect the og Diana was like how she was because her parents, like they try to make her become like the og Diana!
In same time I do understand why the father want to separate his children! In fact I think that was a good thing to do because MC has a toxic love for his sister, even though he is the best thing that happened to her!
Still... I do like the parents are conmplex characters, they do love their children but the way they have been educated and how they act make them see everything black and white!

Honestly I want to know before I continue reading! Will she forgive her horrible family and father in this life, will she abandon them and ignore them or will she destroy them?
Seeing how horrible is her family I don't want she forgive them nor have a good relationship with them, specially the horrible witch she has a grandma and her good for nothing father!
Seeing how the family abandon/exile children to their death, I want full karma on them and see them suffer, specially because we can see how bad they are in this life too!!!
I hate the stories where the child is only loved because she/he acts like an adult and not a child, like they are saying they are the cause of the hate instead the victim of it!

Remi will do experiments to save Emi soul, while doing that she saved the original Pina's soul making her her son. Like Remi who could see what Emi was doing with her body, Pina could see what that evil woman was doing and ended with PTSD so she asked be born as a boy!
Emi will reborn as Remy and Angel's daughter. In the novel there was an Extra where the evil Pina never existed, Emi married the second prince (she was really in love with him) and Remi reincarnated as their daughter!
Remi's son sometimes has dreams when he was Pina and how much she suffered when that woman took her body, but he never remember the dreams! I'm happy the original Pina had her happily ever after with a family who loves him!!!

Honestly I have hard time understanding some stuff, it is like someone used Google translate and didn't correct anything, it is tiring to read because I have to decipher what they are talking about and/or who are they talking about all the time!!!
- Given names and family names are changing all the time, so I have a hard time following who is who.
- Using wrong pronouns all the time making hard to understand half the time, like using you instead I, he instead she, me instead his, your instead my, etc... half of the time I don't know if the character is talking about herself or another character!
I stopped reading in chapter 18!

It is again that trope where the ML abused the FL in her last life but in this one she forgives him and they get married again!!!

Hey now, abuse is too strong of a word, he never laid a hand on her or insulted, used or manipulated her in anyway.
HOWEVER, the word I believe you are looking for is neglect, he never treated her in the way a wife should be treated.
But the guy got his body disfigured, saw himself as hideous monster, who did not deserve another human touch, suffered from severe PTSD after the war, and grieving losing all of his family.
now that’s not an excuse for the years she suffered in loneliness, but will you be able to open your heart after going through what he had been through?
Besides Madeline is not completely blameless in their marriage ending up in tragedy.
And Compered to things like for example Abandoned Empress this like a wake in the park, and more realistic.

Could be a spoiler.
Scroll on ur own accord.

Yup, as the 3 users before me mentioned, it's not "Abandoned Empress". Here's the thing, abuse doesn't not have to be physical, it can also be mental. The worn down type.
The premise is WW1. The thing is, ml has war PTSD. Then comes self doubt, fear, low confidence from it. A spoiler, he had a big family, but lost them all within just 1-3 years. Which is another kind of pain. Survivors's guilt eats away at a person. So, he left FL to be in her world, thinking it's best for her.
Fortunately, she took action, eventually, after a long time. So, ml took her hands & started to get better. But alas! PTSD!
So, ml decides to get treatment for himself & for FL. This is where things go boo boo. & the psychotherapy then... We all make fun of & scare people of that past. But, for those people of that time it was the latest, upgraded & better option. So... Yeah, that's where their relationship go downhill.

That's still not abuse, that's being a neglectful and terrible husband. Honestly, I would consider making him go through electroshock """therapy""" more abusive than anything he ever did. I wouldn't say the FL is terrible for prioritising her feelings, that's valid, but don't expect a traumatised person not to, I dont know, act traumatised.
They finally update it after forever!!!
