Tho knowing they only love the past you and not the current you where you experienced different life is painful
Ian also hated it, he was more seen as Brian and not Ian, Brian who was praised and seen as a knight
But not the Ian who suffered because of his magic and isolated himself from the harsh world
in the eyes of Sol the dragon, i doubt there was a past Brian and present Ian. He sees the core and thats what he loves, no matter how much has changed in Brian and Ian. For him hes the same human he loves..

But I hope in more future hed try to get to know Ian more
Tho the MC was gone we should understand it focuses on heavy themes such as political problems and serious crimes
I love how the story doesn't focus on romance but rather on Ian's story and why hes important to both parties
It also tackles the serious issue of a controlling government so strict that even having business with other countries must have many papers of approval
Cant believe a guy like me will cry over this
