I really don't understand the deal with the mother. Sure, your other daughter is dead because her twin "sucked" all of her life force. But her twin is still your daughter, you know? And it's not like she actually "sucked" her twin's "life force" to kill her. .-.

I agree with you completely. Sadly, however, there are very small minded people in this world. I have met and known people just like the mother. They get an idea into their heads and can't let go of it, even if it is a horribly twisted idea and they know it. They may favor one child and resent another for the most petty and ridiculous reasons. Though, admittedly, the people I know of also have some form of mental disorder that causes this reaction in them. To me, it is a sad situation for both parent and child.

In the beginning, I thought Megumi only reacted that way to Souji, especially with how chapter 1 ended.
It's kind of a "plot twist" for me that it isn't, and it is indeed fresh because it didn't take that cliche route I just mentioned.
But... I'm really worried about Megumi. He might get molested once people know he's like that.
It feels... lacking? I don't know. Things got resolved too fast for such complicated feelings.
