No the thing is weddings are meticulously planned, at a typical wedding irl there wouldn’t be any extra food or a place for him to sit at the reception, if it’s an open bar having more people than planned makes everything suddenly much more expensive, plus it’s like… idk weird to just see strangers at your wedding
really? every wedding i’ve gone to has had extra seating and usually the bride and groom have to introduce themselves to new boyfriends/girlfriends they’ve never met. Idk maybe i just have a welcoming family

Yeah it’s one thing to rsvp with a plus one stranger but different to see someone who wasn’t even included in the first place cause weddings where I live is 30K for a cheap one so typically there isn’t anything extra - name cards at each seat is also typical in my experience which is another issue with showing up suddenly without a proper rsvp
