I love Verta and Blaine's dynamic sm to the point Van didn't give me second lead syndrome in the slightest. They were just the right choice for each other. She could be unapologetically herself with him. But with Van, she'd have to sit around and wait for him to finish the tasks (especially since he time traveled and knew the future).

I actually loved this so much. Finished in one sitting. It was a hard read not gonna lie because reading about murders is one thing but rape, gang rape and things like this make me very uncomfortable.
The author really messed with our emotions throughout the whole series with Fu Shenxiang. He might have fallen in love with her later but it doesn't change the fact that he did unspeakable things to her. Even after he fell in love with her, he raped her. Some might argue that he never grew up normal, I know too but that doesn't change the things he has done are beyond repair. He was honestly irredeemable. There's no way a lovey dovey ending could happen for them unless they were reborn and he was reborn as a saint.
She was honestly such a strong character to the point it makes me question if it's really possible irl because I'd probably commit s*icide long before. I loved how she never wavered because some authors literally give the fls Stockholm syndrome.
Also I don't see much of Yuanze appreciation but damn this man deserves the world. If I ever get married pls let me have a partner like him. He went above and beyond for her, went through terrible things and still waited for her. Not many men would do it yk. He could literally be the pope in the medieval setting given how much of a saint he is.
Fu Shenxiang's character was interesting to explore. How he began to how things ended for him. From the fl and that 19y/o girl begging him to spare the lives of their babies to him begging the fl to let the child live. No amount of redemption would be enough redemption for this man. He dies too easily imo.
Lastly I'm kinda unsure how I feel about them keeping his baby. I know the baby has done nothing wrong but will they be able to treat him with unconditional love even after the uncanny resemblance? How will she feel seeing the baby everyday and getting reminded by the man that turned her life upside down? Hopefully the kid won't have to bear the karma of his trashy biological father.
