He did made a mistake by not telling her he was a spirit so they can have boundaries but the mom also made mistakes. People struggling mental health can make mistakes and get others’ involve if their minds are not in a right state. Does them being mentally unwell valid? Yes but also no. If you forgive the mom, then you’re acknowledging that people should force themselves to be friends with you if you blame you when they’re trying their best.
It’s fine to blame the pinky guy. It’s fine to blame the mom. No one is innocent on both sides. Seeking companionship is one of the hardest things in life, either you live a long life of loneliness to wait for someone who will accept you or live enough to force someone to be with you. Both were selfish to each others’ needs. This is literally like those mangas of humans and yokai seeking companionships, i don’t know why others are having a hard time understanding that humans and spirits can be together is a complex understatement. Neither sides are right or wrong, it’s how life works.
For me, i’m in no one’s side except Minha who is taking a different path from his mom. Unlike the mom, minha can understand the pain and love of loving someone unhuman, he doesn’t crave selfishly for love, he seeks for it instead of forcing it.

Can someone, especially those who read the novel indulge me why ML was mean and making MC distress on their first meeting or Chapter 1? I usually hate ML who acts mean to MC then only to fall in love but never apologizes for their past action as if loving and having sex is their only apology. Or is this some “he only likes his animal form”

So he finds everything annoying or smells bad/disgusted something like that. While when he noticed MC not only was he was his type MC doesn't smell anything. (idk it was actually confusing with the novel as well, in MLs flashbacks he don't smell MC pheromones but later he says he smells good or love his smell, maybe coz they became mates)

So I'm just going to add a bit more to the previous comments and say ML also had a trashy family background in which he was forced to be in his original form for most of his life and isolated ,so most social skills he picked up late in life and puppy is his first and only love interest the other guy you see with his sister tried plotting with her to fake a relationship with him to harm him but obviously it didn't work because ML already knew of their plot. Idk. If technically you can call blond wolf an ex as the whole "relationship" was a visage, but I digress ML is a true green flag and tries his best to love MC in his own way it's not perfect but take it at face value that ML will never hurt MC intentionally and subconsciously for that matter.

Is it me or the story feels so rushed. Like I read countless copy paste plots like this but they were NEVER so fast paced because the author would focus on the main character and their situation but this author literally just shoved the male lead on chapter 2 and made him interested in chapter 3 and so on and so forth. what the fuck is this. There’s no proper development or world building, it’s like I’m reading a fanfic. Author doesn’t even care about the MC, they only care that MC can only be saved by a man so they rushed the romance instead of letting MC explore
Characters are all so forced and rushed for the sake of the plot. Fkcing sake, writers, don’t do this if you so badly want romance. That’s horrible writing. Write the world building and explore main character’s story first instead of romance in chapter 2 what the fuck

I think the plot didn’t went bad, the incest was like 5% of the plot and that 5% judged the entire story. What about mushoku tensei where the MC just sniffed his own mother’s panties and 50% MC is just horny for women yet the plot was so god tier for others
Kamiki has always been the antagonist. Kamiki and Aqua explained it themselves. Back at their first confrontation, Kamiki said he didn’t expect that psycho killed Ai which this latest chapter confirmed it that Kamiki may have not done the killings, HE manipulated others into killing Ai because he knows they’re all mentally conditions and obsessed with Ai. That in itself is him worse than a murderer because he orchestrated everything.
The slight transition to being peaceful was needed that to climax the story and that final is Ruby continuing her idol career, surpassing Ai, Kana leaving and to be an actress and Aqua confronting Kamiki who acted he regretted his actions during their first confrontation. Maybe he did or he didn’t but Kamiki is that kind of person who says “what’s done is done” he’s mentally detached from reality that’s why he feels no remorse towards his victims
i didnt even read every single chapter but i still get why and how he's a bastard. dude manipulated them. egged them on to hate them. even the victims(nino) said that he "didnt do anything, he only spoke about ai" and thats basically it.

We are currently beginning volume 2 and there’s 6 volumes, we also have to count the amount of breaks the artist might take between volumes. But that’s just my honest opinion tho.

Before i misunderstood, this latest arc is the forest scene we talking about right? I also read the raws so does he already know when the Prince saved Abel from getting crushed by the boulders? There was a scene where he was carrying injured Abel with an arrow in his arm unconscious in raws.
Aaahhhh so this is the forest scene you’re all talking about. After getting crushed by the boulders no he doesn’t yet but in the novel the moment they first met, Karas was already having thoughts of him being Abel and dismissed it because of all the fakes and he was just denying it everytime. Since they first met he’s been trying to kill him again and again.
Karas will not really care for Abel after the forest scene (because he was trying to get him killed which was so mean of him) but because of the courage and determination for the King that Abel showed, he was slowly secretly concerned. But yes if this is the forest arc you’re all talking about then it is indeed after this that the prince will find out, during the forest scene he will already be convinced he is Abel but it was only after the forest arc that he really confirmed 100%. Maybe 10-15 chapters more lol hopefully
