Reading this manga reminds me of how much I loved reading the novel. I should go back and read it again. (▰˘◡˘▰)

https://www.novelupdates.com/series/an-otome-games-burikko-villainess-turned-into-a-magic-otaku/
I don't think it's fully translated, though.

What is wrong with this scanlation group constantly misgendering Mira!? Is it a different translator each time? It's like they keep forgetting that Mira's male, a capture target, and the [CENSORED] 2ML!!! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Is this group going to keep getting it wrong until the high school arc, when he hits a growth spurt and starts working out with Howard? (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Mira was literally introduced in chapter one with the rest of the capture targets, AS a capture target! At no point in the novel does anyone treat Mira as a female (that scene in chapter 7 was completely a manga ad-lib to make Charlotte less problematic--in the novel, she really did tie him down and cut his hair). Mira has always been a guy. He's the lone "older brother" in her collection that doesn't want to be family-zoned. Stop misgendering him already!

If you want to understand what's going on, I'd recommend reading the novel. Reading the manga is like trying to read a good book after someone has torn out half the pages. I had hope for like the first chapter, but things went downhill fast.
Seriously, what was the manga-ka thinking to skip half the shipping scenes to focus on THIS mess? It's a romance novel!

I get it, but it feels dumb. I'm not asking for an adaption that's line-by-line identical to the novel, but I don't understand why they prioritized the School Arc. It's the novel climax, I get it, but it's really badly written even in the novel. They could have gutted that part of the manga and only shown how the people the FL actually interacts with were affected by Alois' plot, and had room to show that the ML and FL are actually in love.
Just because it's an "isekai'd into an otome game" setting doesn't mean that you have to focus on that part of the story at the expense of literally all character interaction.

Look, I can suspend all my disbelief for the episodes so far (though putting your own arm in a cast is stretching it), but I cannot accept the wedding dress chapter!( ̄へ ̄)
Do you carry a woman in a wedding dress like that? Not only is she flashing everyone in the hallway, but the skirt drapes even more, it is literally under his feet! Lifting the skirt's train over the arm along with the body would allow him to control the skirt's drape, and that way he won't trip and drop her. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
As is, the author could have had him trip, and then her bandage cosplay would actually make sense (if exaggerated) instead of...whatever the motivation is for the bandage chapter.

Something that's bothered me since the first time I read this, months ago. Why doesn't Yenni just tell Eru that she has amnesia?
I get that she won't tell him about her being reincarnated for a while (a dozen chapters at least) but she can still tell him that she has less than one year's memory of living in Lebovny. Then there's a legitimate excuse for her not knowing basic information (like her baptismal name), and Eru and everyone can stop looking so confused whenever she doesn't know something, and just give her the information she doesn't have.
The raws for chapter 11 are out now!
https://online.ichijinsha.co.jp/zerosum/comic/rasutame
This chapter clears the 6th arc in the series, the Sword Arc, and kicks off the Sick Person Arc...which is to say, Pryde is about to give Gilbert an attitude adjustment! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
For clarification, chapter 9 ends the 4th arc in the series, the Knights Arc, and chapter 10 covers the 5th arc, the Accused Arc.
How many chapters do the arcs cover/have covered in the manga? Bc I heard the novel has 1000+ chapters
Luckily, I noted this down not that long ago.
Arc 1 (Castle People Arc): chapter 1-4 in the novel, chapter 1 in the manga
Arc 2 (Brother Arc): chapter 5-14 in the novel, chapter 2-4 in the manga
Arc 3 (Family Arc): chapter 15-18.1 in the novel, chapter 5 in the manga
Arc 4 (Knights Arc): chapter 19-39 in the novel, chapter 6-9 in the manga
Arc 5 (Accused Arc): chapter 40-43 in the novel, chapter 10 in the manga
Arc 6 (Sword Arc): chapter 44-50.2 in the novel, chapter 11 in the manga
Arc 7 (Sick Person Arc): chapter 51-69 in the novel, chapter 11-ongoing in the manga
The arcs start getting longer after this. (Not counting the filler arcs, which typically run 3-15 chapters.)
Coincidentally, the novel is currently at 1076 chapters (and we're in the middle of Arc 31, the Student Life Arc). But since the author updates Monday-Friday, the number's bound to increase.
The following arcs have yet to be covered in the manga.
Arc 8 (House Party Arc): chapter 70-77 in the novel
Arc 9 (Sinner Arc): chapter 78-127.3 in the novel
Arc 10 (Fiancé Arc): chapter 128-166.1 in the novel
Arc 11 (Small Party Arc): chapter 167-173.1 in the novel
Arc 12 (Alliance Negotiations Arc): chapter 174-236 in the novel
Arc 13 (War Arc): chapter 237-344 in the novel
Arc 14 (Rest Arc): chapter 345-349.2 in the novel
Arc 15 (Promotion Celebration Arc): chapter 350-367.2
Arc 16 (Birthday Party Arc): chapter 368-390.1 in the novel
Arc 17 (Unknown Story Arc): chapter 391-407 in the novel
Arc 18 (Happy Ending Arc): chapter 408-429 in the novel
Arc 19 (Villain Arc): chapter 430-524 in the novel
Arc 20 (Rebellion Arc): chapter 525-580 in the novel
Arc 21 (Castle Arc): chapter 581-587 in the novel
Arc 22 (Heir to the Throne Arc): chapter 588-617.1 in the novel
Arc 23 (War's End Arc): chapter 618-637.6 in the novel
Arc 24 (Celebration Arc): chapter 638-666 in the novel
Arc 25 (Engagement Confusion Arc): chapter 667-672.1 in the novel
Arc 26 (Resolution Arc): chapter 673-685.1 in the novel
Arc 27 (Successor Arc): chapter 686-693 in the novel
Which wraps up Part One of the novel. Unofficial chapter count (including Intermissions, Special Chapters, etcetera) would bring the chapter total up to 877.
Part Two of the novel is still in progress, but here's the current list of arcs.
Arc 28 (Preparation Arc): chapter 1-11.1 in the novel
Arc 29 (School Arc): chapter 12-25 in the novel
Arc 30 (Brothers Arc): chapter 26-113.1 in the novel
Arc 31 (Student Life Arc): chapter 114-ongoing in the novel
The remaining capture targets from the first game are introduced in Arc 10 and 12, a capture target from the second game appears in Arc 29, and a capture target from the third game appears in Arc 9. But there's still no clear love interest for Pryde.
This will be a very long manga
Ah ok thanks for the info!
With any luck. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
I'm hoping we at least finish Part One. Arc 18-20 cover the game, so I'm hoping we at least get that far.
Can you give me the link where you have read this?
Where do you read the translate novel?
I actually MTL the official raws (the author updates Monday-Friday, hence why the novel's so long). I also post summaries for the series on NovelUpdates, in case anyone gets greedy for spoilers.
There is someone doing a fan translation of the novel, but they only just started the Accused Arc (like, the first chapter). So you won't be reading any further ahead than we are now.
Anyway.
