Yeah me too.... I am here just to read chapter 16 ...and I kinda boring so I check up the comments..... And I really hope this manga doesn't have romance... Cause I don't really like it even just a bit v_v ...I mean I just want them to be best friends forever or something like that... But romance? Nahh I never think about that (¬_¬)too

It’s not really centered on romance since they’re all like on a time crunch after the plot really gets going. However, there are moments like it. I think Kon is the best candidate for female lead since she has the most meaningful moments when it comes to interactions with Kabane(mc)

It’s usually nothing full on tho, like two clueless people that don’t understand what love even is, interacting with each other, but they like both usually aren’t like blushing all the time like some other shounen manga.

Anyway, I was scared to would divulge into something I didn’t like where it would hamfist it, but so far, nothing seems to be that bad, and they act like children(since they are children. Kabane is like 13)

ikrr like some good stories/plots dont really need the romance. But i do understand sometimes it's for fanservice purposes

I would agree it is not full on but i would say it isn’t focused on it when there are whole chapters dedicated to kon and her feelings for kanbe. I just think having romance in this type of story surrounding children is unnecessary.

Is more like children having a crush(like elementary schooler stuff lol) but also, true, there are some chapters like that. However, it’s also about Kon’s character development. She was always loyal to that one woman, but when she starts feeling love for someone else, she begins to question her loyalty(which also makes her realize something about her past that would be a spoiler so I’m not saying anything lol). So, they’re not just there for romance sake or they need the MC to have a harem of girls or anything like other shounens. It is actually something important for character development as well as plot purposes, but doesn’t spend 5 chapters about it.

Kanbe is kinda getting a harem though lol. That’s exactly what I don’t like, that someone kon’s own development is because she developed feeling floor kanbe, why can’t it just be result of something she did or found out. And it’s not only for plot sometimes it’s for “comedy” because kon gets unreasonable jealous sometimes, though i guess you can say that the moments further her recognition for her feelings.

I think something with romance or at least friendship had to happen with her character, cause of how loyal she was to that lady. Something even stronger had to compete with it basically. It isn’t just a “girl’s whole character trait is defined by being in love with MC” type of deal like a lot of other harem stuff. There needed to be seeds of doubt planted in her head before fully realizing what happened in the past basically. Also good for character drama and inner conflict. Also, from what I’ve seen colon seems like the main main fl, and any other girls that like MC are there for comedic purposes

Yea I can see it from that point i just don’t understand why it had to be romance specifically, romantic feelings isn’t the only strong emotion that could have made kon doubt herself, it just seems like kon’s development is a result of her romantic feelings, not herself too, and without those feelings she wouldn’t have been able to do anything. I think kon does have comedic purpose, especially when she was fighting over kanbe with shiki’s little sister.

Again, I think it was romantic because love is a pretty strong feeling, which would rival that of her love and loyalty to the lady. However, that couldn’t happen without the emotion existing. Her existence isn’t solely because of romance and being the love interest to the mc. It’s because of the romance and relationship she had with mc that her character developed further. That’s also because the mc is affecting the people around him, just as they do to him. She changed because of getting to know mc. However, it doesn’t mean her existence is solely there to be the love interest like a lot of other series. With her current situation in the beginning of the series, I think this was probably the only way for her character to develop. Like, yes, she could’ve found out about her past by herself, but it would just seem really sudden. However, because she already had inner turmoil about where her loyalties lie, the reveal only made her character goals and alignment more in depth imo.

Anyway, I need to stop over analyzing sht XD

Yea, I get that love is a strong feeling I’m just saying that love is not the only strong feeling that there is, or the only feeling that could have rivaled her loyalty if written right. And i am aware that kon’s existence isn’t just to be a long interest, I’m just saying that it can come off like that because kon’s feelings for kanbe is such a main focus about her and character. Though, I’m not sure what her goals are now except for help kanbe and maybe get inari to explain why she did what she for.

Lol, true. Tbh, I don’t think kon’s character is solely focused on her love for mc XD she’s on her own journey of sorts and mc is one of the people she’ll meet along the way, just like how mc meets different people along his journey and is just as affected by them as he affects others lol.

Lol at the end of the day i’m just hoping it doesn’t go any farther because they’re still so much they don’t know or understand and they’re still babies ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Like i thought he was asking her to be his partner in the ball lol cause Leslie told us the meaning of recieving/giving a flower and since Medea seems young and Arlendo was fidgeting....╮(╯∀╰)╭ sorry my bad, she's her grandma and all |ω・)

it's the latest chapter 86. U can see he was fidgeting that he cant get the flower and he said " it's unfortunate since the flower is fragrant"
