It was like a random throw in of having the mc say stop and have the ML ignore his consent when initially he consented to everything?? it was stupid as hell

I get that some people don't like how ruthless he is by killing everyone he thinks is useless but you guys have to remember that he's lived 100 times already and even if he doesn't kill them they're all going to die anyway, and his whole goal is to find 4 USEFUL people to complete the last trial (?). so to him those people are pretty much already dead, if that makes sense?
