All this time I really cringe at how Morinaga is handling the situation but I get he is really acting his character, remember dude was violently rejected by his family when they found out he as gay, he even said there was a very "dark" period when he was outside the whole time, hooking up with strangers until he straighted up, went to university and met Soichi.
His family NEVER tried to help him in fact, they badmouthed/attacked him in his hometown, even right now we haven't got the mom's version but she seems to know that what she did is wrong and, even if she is trying you can't erase, like almost 10 years of neglect, I have a more normal family but even I'm ashamed to say I'm also cautious when it comes to certain situations with my family because they also weren't the most emotionally supportive, I have a hard time trusting them and I can't blame Morinaga about not trusting in her, he may end up getting hurt and dissappointed by his own family, again... specially since his dad is still a very big issue who, I'm positive, is never gonna change.
Being so egoistical is not okay, but makes sense he got that bad habit since that was the only way he could survive the situation, to look only for himself, ofc, that doesn't erase the fact that he also had done awful sh*t and deserved to be dumped by Senpai LOOOOOONG time ago too, he was your friend/ now lover but not you personal psychologist Morinaga, but, coming back to Morinaga's characterization, at least that problematic aspect of him makes sense, and I'm really interested on how develops, after years of random drama and sex, this is a Character arc that I find myself very interested in.
This is probably my favorite Scarlet Beriko manga along with Jackass, but Tatsuyuki takes more complicated themes with a satisfactory resolution.
Tatsuyuki is sooo pretty def he got that and being such a sweet boy from his mom.
When they announced Satou Takuya and Okitsu as their seiyuus I dies and then came baack to life, it was the start of manly voiced Uke from one of my favorite seiyuus ever!!! Satou is on a league of his own, now he has a lot of roles from both roles but his uke takes a special place in my heart. Okitsu has this cute voice with some sexy/erotic sound to it, pretty unique , with Nozomi he may not be at his max potential but I could see he was going to become a big one.
If I ever wondered were I'd finally draw a line at toxic yaoi here it is.

He never really did anything to make me feel he "deserved better" the manga just tried to bleach him with the daughter but he coul've been a better person, he just choose to be a really awful instead, and was ok with it. Great for him I suppose.
Not gonna lie, I was probably out of this way back when we met Tatsu's mom, I will forever be angry that the preference over Rogi was so obvious, that lady was holding EVERYTHING together, raising 1 kid and 2 (and a half) overgrown manchilds but still Tora had the audacity to tell Rogi that he still was better than her here and there, c'mon man, just admit you like him better and save us from this torture. I personally, think is so unfair that, in a manga about going against gender roles and society, Tora and Rogi are praised for their immaturity and egoism BUT Asami IS the one with the short end of the stick, being the only responsible adult that knows she has a kid and that they have to be careful to not be killed or end dirt poor or killed at the streets, but no, she is pushed in a role that stresses her and no one stops to think of her or help her, SHE EVEN HAS TO GO ALL, "OH POOR CHILD" on Rogi as if he wasn't a goddamn adult that got himself fully in those situations and even mocks her everytime he can, and is even discussed but nothing comes out of it. Asami, the woman, needs to suck it up, but the guys get free to do whatever they want and are painted as "oh so cool" "so special and different".
Tora's side idk bruh, if I was him, a dad, even if I'm a Yakuza, I'll try to control my Dick better, but thats just me. This manga kind of tells you Boys will be Boys or something like that, because god forbid, him acting like an adult and help his wife instead of spending time with his twink, Asami should let those 2 alone and see if they survive without her.
Also, sorry not sorry but choosing Rogi's crusty ass over Tatsu's Mommy?????, unbelievable, that woman was so fine and such a badie, I can't help but disagree so hard with the life choices made here., If I married her i'd never let her go.
Asami's fate is also the worst, she wasn't perfect but c'mon she wasn't either Rogi or Tora AND STILL you give those two the happy ending???? and what she gets?? Is implied she dies right? She doesn't appear anymore in the future and after that her husband goes back waltzing at his lover (acting like he oh suffered soooo much without him) said lover also r*ped their son but no one gives a f*ck, Yakuza my ass, theres a lot of characters that do things Yakuza usually don't do, but we are only excusing Rogi and Tatsu, not having a reaction over what happened to Tatsuyuki is insane and too convenient....because no one who loves their child sould be so indifferent towards it, and if you don't we have an issue here.
The story and everything was good, it really was a story of obssession and Toxic masculinity and unresolved issues that won't ever fade but with the two lovers being ok with it, and I appreciate that, is just not my thing because there was a point I wanted to kick them both for being selfish jerks. But, well, they wouldn't care anyway, they are happy, in their own little world at least.
I think Scarlet Beriko finally is basking in doing what she likes, age-gap couples with an ACTUAL old man and a borderline minor, my god, She made it work in the past with the Joou to Shitateya but only because that was an actual working adult (albeit a cute one) with another working adult but this?????? Is so funny because her mangas look like she wants to go for a, more or less, realistic approach, but really? 40 y/o dudes with Boys that haven't graduated from high school?

If people like their lovers old, you reaaaaally need to be careful on how you work with it, because I have a hard time believing Hosaka and Miyoshi are that much into each other with nothing interesting happening between them, I find Miyoshi to be far more interesting by himself and his sexuality issues than the whole relationship, I just don't know why a successful adult like Hosaka would go for him, not because he is a bad guy or plain, but just because they are actually on different wavelenghts due to age. Miyoshi needs and wants to explore the adult world and himself, Hosaka already has a life and work and I don't like how he is pushing all this on Miyoshi, like, getting jelous and have fights over the idea of Miyoshi getting someone else who is not him, let him breath.
I really like the concept/idea but you can feel a man had a hand in this (I haven't look it up but is a hunch) because of all the fanservice, god, I hated how cheap it was, is the thing that really lowers the quality of the story, if they focused more on the characters and the fights, it would be a lot better in my opinion.
I appreciate that the fact that Himeko and Chikane are soulmates and even the existence of Soma, you know how, usually, when someone is gay is believed you'll eventually come back to the straight path or that "is just a phase" , having Himeko looking fulfilled and Happy with Chikane even when Soma was still someone she cared about, is powerful for that reason, Himeko still choses her woman because her feelings for her are far superior and has no doubt she is THE ONE.

I remember reading this in my newbie days!!! Is such a cute story, the one with Mitsuru and Senpai ofc because (I never read the one with the little brother since I always felt he was too much of a crybaby)
Anyway, both were super sweet, I liked how patient Mitsuru was and that Senpai was that kind of Tsundere that actually confronts his feelings and cares about his partner, not gonna lie, he is pretty sexy too.
This is how I see it, Have you ever read Ruroni Kenshin or other "reformed killer" kind of manga were things aren't sugar coated?
To me Satoko def fears that Shinpei has lost himself so his insanity and bloodlust (which is something we saw LITERALLY in his mind) like, sorry but even if deep down he is a scared child he had killed countless of innocent people and was going to kill Satoko too if he didn't found her as interesting as he did, Mitsuharu and other people are gona die if they don't do something about him, I don't blame them for doing it, its self-defense, as much as a lot of people hate him, want it or not, HE IS NOT A BAD GUY neither is his family and they were attacked first by not only Shinpei but Satoko's father and the mercenaries, Shinpei couldn't care less about them in return , if they give him the chance, the whole family would be murdered, yall only care about the luv triangle that doesn' even exists cuz Satoko loves Shinpei but she respects Mitsuharu and his family lives, like a normal person should).
Satoko is young and she has a lot of stuff happening to her at the samte time too, she must want Shinpei to be free from that, for him to become the sweet guy she knows he can be (even if just with her) but the way he is now, it hurts her, she knows this is just going to destroy him, destroy them, if she just lets him be, he is crazy and delulu, if he takes Satoko now, god knows whats gonna happen, maybe he'll break down in front of her. She is trying to keep him from killing so he can't become more deranged than he already is at this moments, she knows theres more to Shinpei that the killing/unsensitive machine everyone thinks he is but letting him do whatever he wants is not going to help their case.
When Yuki and Towa get together is so funny because they are basically dumb and dumber, even better since Yuki is always tries to act as if he was superior but is even WORST than Towa, he even gets dominated by Sexy-mode drunk Towa hahahaha
Mirado and Shinonome are Seme solidarity, they get along well and give each other love advice (mostly to show off) and Shinonome ends up being the only responsable adult among the 4, even thought he is the youngest.
I usually don't like dumb ukes (because usually the dumber partner is the uke lol) but I have always loved Towa, he isn't the brightest bulb but he is so funny and genuinely acts like a normal guy that has to deal with the other more complicated personalities (like Mikado's sadism and Yuki Tsundereness) he is so sweet too, he knows he is not smart but he is a good boy that tries his hardest to understand.
Mirado too is so pretty, he really is like a Prince but with the personality of a Tyrant, only Towa gets his sweet/adorable side. ヾ(☆▽☆)
I remember being really into Sakuraga Mei works back then, it was awesome because the mangas were uploaded in YouTube along with the drama CDs.
The only thing I never liked was the blackmail element, but for some odd reason I don't mind it much with Yuki and Shinonome, maybe because it was mostly a "misunderstanding" instead of taking advantage of Yuki being dense.
I mean, Shinonome was just teasing him but Yuki got all worked up and started to say he'll give him whatever he asks for in exchange of the photos, and when Shinonome realized what he was doing went too far he destroyed it.
They are a good match, If only Yuki was a little more honest, because I always felt he did like Shinonome and was concious of it but in next installments is like a reset, he is portrayed as a dense and emotionally dumb (with Towa being far better than him in that regard) but everytime I re read this very first volume of their relationship he already accepted he was in love.
Right now the new lovebirds are too awkward, but it doesn't surprise me since I always thought they were way too different, and the Police guy is trying but doesn't really know either.
Again, I'm not into them but lets see, I hope they are at least entertaining to see.
I can't blame Tomoharu, I also wish for couples happiness but is not like I'd be invested in every single one, I understimated again how emotional Aki can be, he really is like a love obssessed fangirl (except for Sempai, since he hates his BF lol)
I like Sempai's BF, I wish we could see more of him and his beef with Aki Lol.

Wait for it, there's going to be an arc about that in the future for sure, because is really weird that they have that much sex, people even coment on her not being pregnant yet, and the whole "a perfect woman is also the perfect mother" oh boi, Asako is gonna suffer a lot when we reach that.
Honestly, I wasn't even mad at the way things ended because, it was happy, and this manga was all about the characters, their relationships and the desire of things getting better for them, also there were chapters that, honestly, were really well done and emotional, specially everything up to Tenjiku was a rollercoaster but a nice ride overall.
After that there was good stuf but bruh, not even try to explain why and how exactly the time leap works, like, is fiction, idc what you make up just do whatever but explain it, even the wedding was so fast, it felt more like a short epilogue from an outsider perspective than THE actual ending with the main characters thoughts about everything that happened.
I do still care about this manga lol, it was fun really, I hope it gets a complete adaptation.
