People Yaemori is not even close to be a new Love interest and thats the most annoying part, we have been there like 10000 chapters and I bet you is going to be all for nothing because I'm sure the actual date with Chizuru, either, goes fast or is an absolute "disaster" and they end up doing something else.

Genbu Kaiden is such a fantastic manga that deserves all the attention, I wish someday to see an anime maybe? Is really cool because it feels like shounen at times but with all that sweet drama and romance.
Takiko is such a good protagonist, strong, sweet and noble, the relationship between all the seishi , just like the og Fushigi Yuugi is on point. I'm still crying over the ending, I don't think i'd be able to get over it anytime soon.
Bruh I remember loving this manga when I was younger, and while Maria (to me) is still an amazing protag since she is "devilish" just for being so real instead of overly nice or dummy.
This manga went downhill with her past, that criminal should be in jail wtf, why is he even working around normal people and children as a pastor or whatever, how gross. They gaslit Maria into frogiving him and stuff, her and her mom deserved so much better.
Even with all the (sometimes) unnecessary drama there is something in the original FY that is really charming, the story, the characters their relationships.
I actually like Miaka tho, she does has a lot of flaws but I give to her that she is funny and proactive, also the food, she knows whats important xd.
I still feel bad for Seiryuu they got f*cked because Yui basically forced her way there, unlike the other 3, that country needs to work the hardest to be rebuild, and they don't have the blessing of their god since Suzaku sealed him.
I like how Watase is handling the twists. You really can't compare this to Miaka or Takiko's story, it feels unique and I'm all in for political problems and the fake priestess stuff!
I liked the Tatara thing lol, because she developed their bond from there and also kept the interest alive, since we already knew Tatara and their relationship for years but it still feels "new and interesting" now that we know the whole story.
This was the first manga with no anime that I read, and I still cry over how much the anime adaptation murdered this amazing work.
They hold a special place in my heart and the ending was surprisingly bittersweet, which is ironic because is one of those shonen with good romance, Sakura and Oogami even flirted a few times but they got separated at the end, even if it was for the better, I wanted them together forever soooo bad.
I can't stop laughing even the fathers are a piece of work xd.
My favorite bois are back and as cute as ever! I never expected them to actually go to the same school and even be really close to be married/paired, I feel proud.

That said I agree with the artstyle thing, when I saw it I honestly didn't liked it, it became too cutesy and lazy, look at the hair, is just like zig zags now and some backgrounds are just lines(? In the last update idk what is happening, literally is the first time and arstyle went from amazing to meh, usually it gets better.
My favorite artstyle was the one in the first volume because they really looked "menacing" and very masculine, but the one at the 3rd volume (when they go to the pool) was probably the most fitting and I hoped was the one that stayed, it was the most stylish.
But well I really need to get used to it but yeah, I miss those times.
The emotional changes in this chapters are WilD, I was feeling it for Gojo and his jelousy and the Kitagawa went to her love hurricane mode, she is eating him alive!!!!

I believe after a lot of conflicts the MC's do end up married, and actually live a happy married life but with her dying first (idk how soon) because looking at the first chapter she says "I married someone I shouldn't have, I was happy" and there's nothing more wrong for a young noble lady than to marry an ex-assassin who has "nothing" to offer to her family.
Thats at least is my personal interpretation and my "instincts" about this kind of stories.
Also a round of applause for the translators and the mangaka cuz this story is crazy good, one of the few that shows the "malice" of characters but with them still being likeable and becoming better people.
Nanashi knows that making your manga longer not always is the best option, I feel the ending was really cute and feels "complete" we know Nagatoro and Naoto are going to be a very happy couple and thats enough for me, it left me with a nice fluffy feeling. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
A few extras with them flirting when they are older wouldn't be bad. But all in all a really good ending.

Now... Honestly this last chapters are a perfect representation of what I "dislike" in ONS.
The overwhelming preference of Kagami over 4 annoying characters (Mahiguren, Ferid and Shinoa) making all of them OP with no chance of losing.
How he keeps pushing the Yunoa, every damn chapter someome talks about her "love" like, stop, is embarrassing and nonone cares I don't even think the Yunoas care since it feels so cheap, and is funny how she is so "in love" and Yuu's reaction is just like "ah yes yes, but you know whats more important? WORLD PEACE" I can't.
And related to te above,Kagami's lack of development of the characters relationships is showing.
That interaction was so CRINGE bruh, Kimizuki NEVER cared about chest sizes, Mitsuba made sense shince Shinoa was the one pestering her first, but Kimizuki?? By making him tease her with her HEIGHT (like he used to do with Yuu) would've been far better. Shinoa also stopped being likeable long ago she is only in her troll mode.
I agree that the protag is FAR better in this because he is a normal and very considerate guy/brother the ONLY thing I dislike is that Reiji wants to put him in the same loser level of Kazuya at not getting girls, dude is supposed to be one of the handsome and rich Shiunji heirs but has no suitors like the girls which doesn't make sense to me. But, anyway, like I said he is nice and deserves the girls falling for him, I can feel he cares and respects them.
Remember that "The End" is always in all the volumes final chapter but def, not an actual "ending" for the story itself, I really can't see this ending soon, the mangaka seems to enjoy writing them.
Also, Sempai is never going to call himself gay, because he is not? At this point I'm sure he is one of those "If is you is Okay" kind of sexuality, because he isn't attracted to men or women anyway.
The mangaka really is playing with us, uhm.
We know from the future Tatara is Kasaru, the mangaka even confirmed it was "Kasaru" but now the original Tatara seems to be Karumu???? But he is a kid, unless there is a time skip involved here, since the two brothers are identical, if he grows and changes his name, like Nuriko in the first Fushigi Yuugi, it would make sense too.
Is funny because we thought we knew but now we are all more confused and making theories xd.
The plot twist is interesting, even if I'm kind of dissapointed in Hikaru (because I thought he was more "evil" and the final boss) but thata just me, I get Nino had some red flags so it makes sense that Hikaru wasn't alone in what happened to Ai.
I still want more Ruby backstory, I hope they can develop it properly.
This Mami 2.0 is going to be tossed aside after this right? Whats the point of her talking and talking about stuff we already know about Chizuru, Reiji really want to make Chizuru "not like other girls" and the most perfect and special one unlike the others, when in reality Chiz is just someone that can't get out of character and can't socialize to save her life.
