Two men who were best friends started a successful company together, becoming successful company owners. One of these friends got married, but neglected his wife so much, that the wife cheated on him and got pregnant with twin baby daughters by one their own company's secretaries, but passing the baby twins as her husband's daughters. The other friend abandoned a woman who was already pregnant with his child, and she gave birth to a baby boy, whom she raised all alone as a single mother, but with lots of abuse. Meanwhile, the two best friends went to visit a fortune-teller just to try it out, not knowing that the particular fortune-teller they ended up visiting was a super shady, evil guy, rejected even by all the other fortune-tellers, due to the way he would secretly manipulate and use dark magic on his customers, in order to get his hands on their money. This fortune-teller decided he wanted to get his hands on the company owned by these two best friends, so planned to secretly get rid of one of the two friends using dark magic, while gaining the surviving friend's trust as a "seer" by pretending to "accurately" foretell the other friend's early death. To better isolate the suvriving friend, who was the remaining company owner, even more (and in order to make it easier to keep manipulating him) the fortune-teller threatened both the surviving company owner's secretary and his wife: first, he threatened the secretary with the secret that he was the real father of his boss's twin baby daughters, and used dark magic to push the secretary to finally commit suicide. Second, he also threatened the man's wife with a false prediction that horrible things would keep happening to their family, if she didn't get rid of one of the two twin baby daughters. That's how one of the twins (our mc) ended up abandoned at an orphanage, and how both she and her twin sister grew up separated, not knowing about each other's existence.

Years later, by the time the non-abandoned twin (ogSera) was already teenager, the evil firtune-teller had succeeded in becoming the most trusted confidant of her alleged "father" (the surviving friend, who was also the last remaining company owner). When the company owner found out he had cancer, then looked for and "adopted" the illlegitimate teenage son of his dead best friend (as in, the illegitimate son of his co-owner best friend whom the fortune-teller had secretly killed, many years ago), the fortune-teller decided this boy had the qualities that were needed to keep the company flourishing, along with the value of his own company shares, that the fortune-teller had been secretly stealing. So he decided to get rid of ogSera so he could make this new boy the next president of the company. That's how he started manipulating the boy against ogSera and nurturing his ambition to take over the company in her place. To clear the way for all that, he planned to put a curse on ogSera, that would gradually kill her by inflicting her with another person's bad karma... and he found the perfect person with the required level of "bad karma" when he met the purple haired girl, the crazy villainess of this story... It also didn't hurt that the purple haired girl's parents were filthy rich and thus able to pay handsomely in exchange for him "saving" their daughter from all that karma.
